The EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change

The Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change focuses on supporting EU regions, cities and local authorities in their efforts to build resilience against the impacts of climate change. The Mission’s objective is to accompany at least 150 European regions and communities towards climate resilience by 2030.

The Mission Forum

The annual Forum is a major governance element of the Mission bringing together national, regional and local authorities, Friends of the Mission, European institutions, and research organisations.

The Forum is an opportunity to take stock, identify issues, provide direction, and define the path ahead. It will also showcase regional initiatives on adaptation to climate change and will facilitate dialogue between the participants of the Forum.

Pre-conference workshop

The pre-conference workshop is dedicated to the Charter Signatories and Friends and will take place on Monday 12^th June 2023. Following the launch of the Community of Practice on January 26, the workshop will allow members to meet and discuss further in a collaborative, active learning environment. The objective is to consolidate the Community of Practice for regions & local authorities.

Please note that the pre-conference workshops will not be available to attend online.

Social and side events

Join us at our pre-Forum social event on the evening of June 12^th, and several side events during the Forum on June 13^th. These include a guided tour at Eriksberg, the Nordic region’s largest game reserve, followed by a food and drink reception; a guided tour in the historic Ronneby Brunnspark, a 19^th Century botanical garden; and an opportunity to learn about the Blekinge Archipelago Association and their mission to promote sustainable development within the unique natural setting in the UNESCO biosphere reserve. Please indicate which event you plan to attend when registering for the Forum.

• Pre-forum social event: Monday 12^th June 2023, 18:00 – 22:00 CEST
• Forum: Tuesday 13^th June 2023, 09:30 – 17:00 CEST

Language: The Forum will be held in English and simultaneous interpretation will be provided for both physical and online attendees into the following languages: Deutsch (de), ελληνικά (el), Español (es), Français (fr), Magyar (hu), Italiano (it), Nederlands (nl), Język polski (pl), Română (ro), Slovenčina (sk), Slovenski jezik (sl), Svenska (sv). Note, interpretation will not be provided for the pre-conference workshop or for the Forum breakout sessions.
